Tookii things to do with kids at the Royal Adelaide Show

My 1st Adelaide Show

Show and festivals and whatever else you call them where you live – they’re all good things to do with kids. Why? Because they’re fun and you can have yummy food and new and different experiences.

When I was little we lived in Adelaide, South Australia. In Adelaide they have a huge annual show called the Royal Adelaide Show. I have been to this show a couple of times now, and I hope I can go again, but this was my very first time.

Not only was it my first Royal Adelaide Show but it was also many firsts for me. My first show – like ever. My first pony ride, the first time I’d ever seen a real horse actually – as far as I know, probably the first time I had seen many of the animals I met that day. I think it was even my first carousel ride.

As you can see I spent most of my day with the animals, no surprises there. As you can see by my face in some of these photos – things can seem a little weird and scary to a little kid at their first show. We don’t know yet that all this madness is actually fun.
