Things to do with kids has a double meaning today. I’m posting about kids that need some help and kids that can do the helping. Contribution is a great thing for kids.
The date was yesterday, and there I was … shopping, at Supre in Adelaide, South Australia.
While in the store I noticed they sold bottled water, which is a little unusual for a clothing store, so I asked the attendant why?! We got talking and she explained to me that they sell the water to support a youth program called Headspace. I immediately bought a bottle of the water, of course, because it is a great cause to support and who doesn’t need water?
Headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation and they do amazing work helping young people aged 12-25 years, and such important work too. Mental health is a subject that I am very passionate about, having recently started home schooling due to some struggles with anxiety. But myself aside, we lose too many awesome young people to self-medicating with drugs and to suicide and such.
What a great foundation to support! I just wanted to give Headspace a shout out for the amazing work that they do and to Supre for helping such a worthy cause.
