Let’s talk about other sorts of things to do with kids. Today’s post is very much about kids and their side of what can be everyday life.
You know when you come home and we are busting to tell you something or just to see you? … you know how we keep asking to go and do something with you? – we get it, you’re busy!
Were you ever a kid? (I know the answer to that)
I saw something yesterday that made me blog this today – I’m sure most of you don’t need to be told but, from what I saw yesterday, some do. I’m just going to give two scenarios.
Scenario One: A child looks at you with a big smile on their face and grabs your hand hoping to get your attention because they are really excited to tell you something. The adults face frowns and quickly spins to face the child telling them “Sshhh!! Stop it!!!” and goes back to browsing the store shelf.
Scenario Two: An adult who wonders why their teenage child hardly speaks to them anymore.
Don’t teach us to listen by talking and telling us to listen – teach us to listen by your example of listening.
Just saying 😐
