Music Certificate #2

Things to do with kids achieving their very best lets them know that it is possible for them to succeed at something if they put the work into it.

Today I am sharing with you my graduation photo. In this photo I had just turned nine years old and I had sat my music exam and achieved my certificate for Musicianship – First Grade with a pass award of High Distinction.

To gain a high distinction I had to score 95+ out of 100 and I actually scored 100/100 which took a lot of study to prepare for. I don’t mind studying music theory though because I enjoy knowing how to read and write music correctly and understanding what it all means.

  1. Congrat,Tookii for a job well-done! You should also play the graduation march music. Did you know that this particular song was played in the musical “Aida”,the story of an Egyptian princess(Aida) who fell in love with a commoner and as her lover was being buried alive inside the pyramid as a mummy,no one knew that a small voice(Aida’s) was inside the tomb with him so as to be with him for eternity. The graduation march song was played as a funemral march in that play. I learned this musical tidbit during my Art Appreciation course during my university years.
