Tookii things to do with kids Hair Towel one of the products for kids

Hair Towels

As you may have worked out by now this blog about ‘things to do with kids’ has a double meaning. That’s because some things to do with kids aren’t actually activities for kids but still are things very much to do with kids. This is one of those ‘things’.

It’s no secret – I have long hair. Does this make me an expert on hair? Certainly not ! But there is something that I never knew I hated until I knew there was an alternative.

Do you wrap your hair in a towel when it’s wet? Do you wrap your child’s hair in a towel? I mean a normal bath towel. Standard towels are really heavy for us kids when they are all wrapped up on our heads and if they fall off they pull our hair.

Did you know there is such a thing as a hair towel? They are much smaller and much thinner (and therefore weigh much less) and they are super absorbent too.

I never knew how much I hated having my hair wrapped up in a towel until I knew there was such a thing as a towel just for hair and I got to use one … no going back for me.

What a great gift for a girl with long hair or a good little stocking filler or gift extra.

  1. I usually use one bath towel as my hair towel after taking a shower and will remain there as I use another bath towel to wipe myself dry. I’m not very familiar with hairtowels. I usually see only face towels, hand towels and bath towels. Dimension-wise, a bath towel would be better for me to wrap around my head.

    1. yes Adults probably don’t mind either way, I just found it great the first time Nanna put a hair towel on me and I also loved that she could tuck it in all tight like a turban and it felt secure as I dressed etc πŸ™‚

  2. My mother started making hair towel/wraps after she saw them in Korea when visiting about a year ago. It’s lightweight and even comes with a button and elastic hoop to close so you hair holds up. Very clever! Great post! πŸ˜„

  3. Cute photos! My daughter has some hair towels called “Turbie Twist” that she absolutely loves. I tried them a time or two myself, and they are great!
