Things to do with kids for fitness are usually physical. I mean running around and such. Because kids have a lot of energy. But some kids also like calm activities like yoga.
I have spoken about yoga before in my blog Yoga by the Sea where I explained how I became interested in yoga. I explained that I became interested by copying Mum while she was doing yoga.
I think it is true that most kids, especially younger children, are more likely to try yoga along with a parent or teacher at first. If they enjoy the practice then they may continue doing yoga alone as they become interested for their own reasons.
ps Namaskar is the Indian gesture of respect where you place your palms together and bow. In yoga this is often followed by the spoken word Namaste.
