Tookii things to do with kids in Adelaide one of the outdoor activities for kids

Morning Mo

I often recommend exploring as one of the awesome things to do with kids. I usually suggest it with a blog about nature or something. But you can explore in the city too, who knows what you’ll find?

We came across the statue of comedian Mo (Roy Rene) in Hindley Street, Adelaide.

Mo was one of Australia much loved comedians and gave us some great Aussie phrases that some still use today.

  • Strike Me Lucky
  • Don’t Come the Raw Prawn With Me
  • Fair Suck of the Sav
  • You Beaut!

The annual Australian Mo Award is given for excellence in live performance, can you guess which handsome gentleman this award is named after?

  1. I hope this is not a trick question. My cousin who lives in Sydney had told me about this award. Harry Van der Sluys used his stage name Roy Rene but was also part of a comedic duo and uses the name Mo McCackie.

      1. Definitely. that’s what I call being VERSATILE. One must have more than 1 talent/skill to survive in this world. You can’t depend only on just 1 thing. Not even to put all your eggs in 1 basket as the saying goes.
